The Allariz dining armchair's solution-dyed olefin fabric resists UV fade in full sun, while its quick-dry foam cushion sheds moisture after poolside meals or summer storms. Its powder-coated greige aluminum frame won't rust or corrode, making it a sound choice for covered patios and commercial courtyards where furniture must clean easily and look sharp through daily use. How Well Does Solution-Dyed Olefin Stand Up to Rain and Sun?
Solution-dyed olefin dyes the fiber before it's woven, so color runs all the way through rather than sitting on the surface -- that makes it extremely resistant to UV fade even when the chair sits in direct sun hour after hour. The PVC coating sheds water quickly, and the fabric carries Oeko-Tex certification, meaning it's tested free of harmful chemicals. The handwoven cream rope on the seat exterior is also UV-resistant and weatherproof, holding its vertical-line detail through seasons of exposure.
Do You Have to Bring This Inside for Winter?
You can leave it outdoors year-round in mild climates, but applying a protective cover during prolonged rain or heavy snow extends the life of the olefin fabric and rope weave. In coastal areas with salt air, the powder-coated aluminum resists corrosion, though wiping down the frame after storms helps prevent buildup. If you store it indoors, the 23-lb weight makes it easy to move to a garage or shed when the weather turns.
Where Does This Work Best on a Patio or Deck?
The Allariz armchair works best under a roof or pergola where its olefin upholstery and aluminum frame get some shelter from direct downpours. Pair it with a rectangular table in an outdoor dining set, or mix it into an outdoor counter dining set for higher-top meals.
