The Rhody Rug Wearever Texturized Polypropylene Indoor-Outdoor Basket is handmade in the USA from 100% polypropylene in an 18 x 12 inch braided design, available at LOOMLAN Outdoor with free shipping. Ten fade-resistant colors -- New Gold, Moonstone, Celadon, Daffodil, Mango, Key Lime, Brilliant Red, Hydrangea, Pumice, and French Blue -- give you flexibility to match deck seating or poolside accents without sacrificing durability.

How Well Does Polypropylene Hold Up Outside?

Polypropylene won't fade in direct sun the way natural fibers do, and it sheds rain and humidity without mildewing. The texturized braid construction stays firm even when wet, so the basket dries fast after a storm and won't lose its shape if you're using it to corral towels near a pool or store outdoor toys on a covered porch. It's not designed to sit unprotected in snow or downpours -- keep it under a roof or bring it inside during harsh weather -- but for a screened patio or a sheltered deck corner, it handles moisture and UV exposure season after season.

Do You Need to Bring It Inside for Winter?

You should bring it inside if snow or freezing rain is in the forecast; polypropylene tolerates cold, but prolonged exposure to standing water can stress any braided fiber. For mild-winter climates or covered outdoor spaces, you can leave it out year-round -- just wipe it down after wet spells and make sure it's not sitting in a puddle. Spot clean with mild soap and water; the material is stain-resistant and dries quickly without shrinking, so routine maintenance takes seconds.

Where Does This Work Best on a Patio or Deck?

Tuck it next to an outdoor accent chair to hold rolled towels or sunscreen, or set it on a shelf in a screened porch for magazine storage.
