The Manhattan Braided Handmade Indoor-Outdoor Basket is available at LOOMLAN Outdoor with free shipping. It's a flat-braided storage basket measuring 18 inches wide and 12 inches deep, handcrafted in the USA and offered in six colors.

Will Polypropylene Hold Up to Rain and Direct Sun?

Yes -- polypropylene is a synthetic fiber that resists moisture, so the basket won't mildew or warp if it gets wet. It also holds its color longer than cotton or wool under UV exposure, though prolonged direct sun will eventually lighten any fiber. Texturized polypropylene dries quickly after rain and won't harbor mold, making it a practical choice for covered outdoor areas or humid mudrooms.

How Do You Clean It, and Does It Need Storing Over Winter?

Wipe the basket with a damp cloth when dust or dirt builds up; polypropylene cleans easily and dries fast. You don't have to bring it inside for winter if it's under a roof or patio cover, but storing it in a garage or shed will extend its life in climates with heavy snow or ice. The material won't crack in cold temperatures the way rigid plastic can.

Where Does a Braided Basket Work Best Outdoors?

Use it to corral throw pillows beside outdoor accent chairs, or tuck it under a console table on a covered patio to hold sunscreen, garden gloves, and citronella candles.
